Sorry, I've been away for a while. Had to take some time off after Halloween. Now I am back to the ghosts and will try to add one or two a week as time permits. This one is making her entrance to the grand ballroom.

The Matriarch of the family?

I'm a firm believer in "ghost magic," that is the ability for ghosts to distort reality within the Haunted Mansion. They can make rooms and doors stretch, bring artifacts to life and even make their own faces appear in portrait photographs or daguerrotype. While the body was not implied in the Mansion I decided to share with visitors how I think the ghost faces appear in the portraits lining the hallway. What do you think?

This person had a very grim job in the living world and seems to bear a heavy burden in graveyard. Who is the key for and is he still charged with keeping some spirits under control in the great beyond?

This ghost is playing a herald trumpet, not a vuvuzela as many might think. He's a member of a ghost band that will be featured in the future. What was his name and what was his story?

Two ghosts in two days, here's another one of my personal favorites. . This is the ghost that I believe to be physically the oldest of the lot. He certainly must have been older than the mummy in passing and that's probably why they get along so well. Old bones like to stick together. Who is this old timer and why is he so interested in the story of our friend the mummy?

I am not going to begin this series with the first ghost that you see at the Haunted Mansion, but rather which one I think has the record for being the oldest. Who was the mummy and what was his story?

What the future holds?

Hello mortals. After some web surfing I discovered that not every ghost from the Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland had a name or history.

I decided to begin an online repository of these permanent guests in blog form. I will be drawing up the ghosts and ask all of the Disney fans to try and give me a name and their story in the comments section.

There are 999 haunts, if I cranked out one drawing each day it would take me almost three years to fill up the roster. I doubt that I will be posting more than a few a week but still, it should be a fun artistic challenge.

What do you guys and ghouls think about that?
